For the myriads of you that ask where to find good shoes- I just bought these (Puma Etoile 2 strap) today at Macy's for $35 +tax. This is a phenomenal price for Zumba shoes! I believe the regular price is between $55 and $60, depending on where you purchase. Get em while they last!!!

I know I say it all the time, but I really really really mean it!! I have the BEST job EVER!! You all brighten my days and give me energy to power through the rest of life! I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Thank you for supporting me and giving me encouragement and honest feedback.

On a separate note-

We are turning things up a notch, with NON-STOP playlists!! No more 3-4 second breaks in between songs. This will allow for more songs in the same amount of time, and for a higher intensity class all the way around. However, this also means you MUST MONITOR YOUR INTENSITY LEVEL! Please modify as you need to if you feel like its too much. Don't bring up your knees as high, keep you hands lower or don't do hands at all, or do step touch in place of jumping/bouncing moves. And make sure you get water whenever you need it, since there won't be breaks where you would normally get one. WOOOOOT!!! I think you are going to love it. And if not, I'm sure I will hear about it! ;)

YES for class this Thursday and Monday, NO for class of THURSDAY APRIL 21st and MONDAY APRIL 25th as I will be teaching Zumba at the Rose City Salsa Festival in Portland!!

There is a Zumbathon at Boise State University on Saturday April 23rd from 10am-4pm. Proceeds are going toward diabetes and juvenile diabetes research. Not sure of the cost, and unfortunately, I had to turn down an offer to teach, as I will be Oregon, but there will be other fantastic instructors, so GO!!!

cheap, cute workout pants!!

Just a friendly little tip: Today I purchased some new workout pants, yoga style, from Forever 21 at the ripe old price of $7.50!! Fantastic fit, good, breathable material. I think they will be perfect for Zumba! There was only one rack of them (and as of today it was still pretty full) but I imagine they will go fast. So run, run, run to Forever 21 and buy some for yourself so you can feel sexy while you dance yourself sexy in my ZUMBA CLASS this Monday!!

One of the most frequent questions I have received from new patrons is "what should I wear to Zumba?" Good question- here is your answer:
Whatever regular workout attire you feel most comfortable in! Something that is easy to move in, and something that allows for adequate ventilation and body breathing. It will be different for everybody, just be sure that it is supportive in the necessary areas (ladies you know what I mean)!
Shoes need to be supportive tennis shoes. However, there is a lot of cross lateral movement in Zumba, and you may find that older shoes with worn down traction are best- so long as they still have good support.
If you are looking to make a new investment for Zumba shoes- any jazz or dance tennis shoe would be your best option. I wear Nike's dance shoe, that has a pivot in the toe, for easier turning and torquing. They run anywhere from $98- $130, depending on where you buy. I just found them on Zappos for $98.10.

Boise Zumba at the Knitting Factory Jan 15th

Come out to the Salsa Event this Saturday night at the Knitting Factory. It will be a great time!!

Beginner Salsa/Merengue/Bachata lesson at 9pm, followed by a few short performances, including local Boise Zumba instructors, such as myself :), and social dancing the rest of the night!! IT IS 18 AND UP!
